The Korean firm was forced to redesign the device following a successful sales injunction bid from Apple, who claimed that the original model infringed on its patents.
Although the ban was Europe-wide, Germany was one of the only territories to enforce it, ordering the tablet to be pulled from shelves across the country, and prohibiting Samsung from showcasing it at IFA 2011.
The new model is called the Galaxy Tab 10.1N. Samsung announced that it has made just two alterations to the original design, modifying the bezel and the placement of the speaker, The Wall Street Journal reports.
"The newly modified device will be renamed the Galaxy Tab 10.1N and we've made two changes to the design," said Samsung spokesman Jason Kim. "The design of the bezel has been changed and the speaker has also been relocated."
Samsung and Apple have been locked in an ongoing legal battle which has now spanned ten countries. Previous court hearings have fallen in Apple's favour, leading to sales bans on its rival's products in certain regions.
